FAQs
How does Ski Ward have snow in November?
Thanks to new snowmaking technology we implemented, Ski Ward is able to make snow at any temperature. Our Latitude 90 snowmaking system is stationed at the bottom of our teaching area. The last few seasons we were able to open in October for lift serviced skiing and snowboarding.
How busy will it be during my child's November lesson?
During November lessons, we limit the amount of people allowed on snow! Most of the time, it is only the lesson participants and instructors in this area!
Do you offer higher level lessons in November?
We only offer never-ever lessons in November. These early season lessons are designed for children who have never skied or snowboarded before or are unable to stop on their own. The goal is to introduce children to winter sports before it gets too cold to ease them into it!
My child has skied or snowboarded before - can I still sign them up for these classes?
Short answer – no.
Long answer – if your child has been on skis/snowboard before in any of the following instances – this class may still be a good fit!
- You strapped your child into skis/snowboard in the back yard to let them slide around last winter
- Your child took a singular lesson but is unable to stop/turn on their own
- Your child has only skied between a parents legs and never independently
Please remember this is a beginner class so we will be starting from the ground up!
What are the age requirements?
Students must be the appropriate age at the START of the program. For example, if your child is currently 2 years old but turns 3 on November 2nd, they would be eligible for a Little Leaf Gliders class on Thursdays or Fridays because they will meet the age requirement prior to the start date of that program.
Children who do not meet these age criteria will be removed from the program with no refund/credit/exchange.
What policies do I need to be aware of?
All lesson policies can be found here. They are also laid out prior to registration for any program.
